Ever since I remember, I’ve been drawing. In fact, drawing was an inner urge for me since my childhood, and also to create.

I was alone a lot, so being bored I poking in my mother’s wardrobe. I found tangled yarns, mixed beads, textiles. The colors impressed me! I untangled the yarns, assorted the beads, and created thing from them. I embroidered as a child, made jewellry from beads, learned macram from my mother’s book. As a child I made self designed bracelet, feathered earrings, I took part in drawing competitions, worked as a henna painter and made paintings. It seemed obvious that I wanted to apply for art school.

In 2007, I graduated at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in fashion design. I learned weaving, in Madrid I learned to work with leather and textile printing. I was interested in everything, most of all the craft techniques, the material manipulations. I love when a material comes to life and find its new place. I like to work with my hand, spinning, patchwork technique, overlay technique, applications, the special patterned materials, letterings that carry extra information.

I founded my first brand MÍO Design in 2007, I made women’s clothes and accessories, bags, jewelery made of textiles. These were mainly experimental works, I was looking for my own style. I founded the Poodle Mood brand in 2014, which includes baby girl and baby boy clothes for 2-6 years. It is characterized by a clearer, more modern design, but still with a passion for vibrant colors and colour blocking.

In 2017, I began to feel the need for a summary in my designs. Meanwhile, during my 10 years, my clothing style and taste became unique, now I know what I really want. I have noticed that my friends have been saying for a few years now that my style is „Mayish”. I realized that this concept exists. That was the moment I founded Mayamood. Mayamood is expresses what I am. My dress style is part of my individuality, my self-expression, my energy. I believe in the power of creation, I believe in flow, and I believe that if something is done with devotion it is manifested int he product. I believe that the objects also have their own energy. I believe in “slow fashion”, the “buy less” movement, my clothes are made with “no waste” technique, I really leave no waste. I respect and love the material, and I want my passion to be expressed through my clothes.

I pay attention to quality, because I oppose the consumer society. My clothes and bags are made for a long time, not following a current trend, rather expressing impulses, emotional states that promote self-expression, the strengthening of personality and self-confidence, comfortable, feminine, creative and transmitting many positive energies.

Some products are in stock, but most clothes and accessories are made to order, but I try to make and send all orders within 10 working days. Some of my products made only one piece, depending on the amount of material.
